Skillset and Fighting Technique:
Holding little to no technique in fighting because of a sheltered life, Elenya is almost worthless in battle. Her father gifted her with his two-handed sword before she set out on her own, but the weapon is large and ungainly in her hands. She would rather flail and kick than use the sword in combat--and likely, she'd be more effective that way.

Elenya is gifted with Lightning magick but because of her upbringing has suppressed it. She hates her magick and curses Ignus’ name. Therefore, she is inexperienced in this as well. However, she can electrify her body and anything that comes in contact it for brief periods of time. Elenya uses this method as a last resort however, as the power literally drains her body and sometimes renders her unconscious. Because she views her magick as inconsequential, her stamina and ability are still weak, but gradually beginning to strengthen over time.

Description: This form of magick is used as a debuffer, but is unfortunately undiscriminating of opponents and allies. When ‘Static’ is active, all those in range are affected by a lessening of ‘Strength’ and ‘Stamina’. Other Lightning users, undead, and the caster are unaffected. The spell’s influence lasts as long as the spell is active.
NOTE: This spell can be maintained while other Lightning spells are in use. As soon as the caster employs magick of a different element, the spell is severed.

Description: Electricity is amplified in the nervous system of the caster, using the entire body and any conductive material in contact with the body as a conduit. Any person or conductive material that happens to touch the caster or anything in contact with the caster is subject to high electric charge.
NOTE: If ‘Voltage’ isn’t severed in time, it can be deadly to the caster, as high amounts of energy are required to perform the spell. The amount of stamina per user varies on ability.

Description: The caster charges a portion of the body with electricity, using it to resurrect a potentially dead individual. The spell isn’t effective on those who are long-deceased or who have died from other than natural causes, but can be useful otherwise.


History:
Under the heat of the rising Tenfanese sun, in a nomadic temple raised in favor to the god of Stone, a second daughter was born of Shi'I Filolen and Rais Tesiroth. They named her Elenya Sasha Tesiroth and thanked the gods for blessing them with life. Their child grew, joined by three more sisters in time. The girls were raised beside their cousins, nieces, and nephews in a familial colony whose sole purpose was to supervise a lesser temple of Galet.

Elenya grew into sweet child, though prone to the regular mischief of her age. Her younger days were occupied by chasing her siblings and playing the secret games of children in the sand and mud.
Shi’I, Elenya’s mother and an acolyte to the god of Galet, tamed her daughter in time to pass on the wisdom of the temple’s teachings. As the child neared her adolescence, Elenya became a steward of the temple, dedicating time each morning, afternoon, and evening to prayer and devotion.

In her 13th year, the second daughter of Shi’I and Rais was discovered to have an affinity for Lightning magick—whose god was Ignus—the opposite element of Galet, lord of Stone. Her parents fasted and spent two weeks in prayer for their daughter; for one born of a magick existing in opposition to their own was considered to be cursed.

Elenya wept, spending days before the temple alter, asking Galet to lift Ignus’ magick from her body and bless her with his own. Her prayers were rendered mute to his ears, however, and she vowed to ignore this outside god who had “blessed” her. Instead, she threw herself into full devotion of Galet, preferring to pretend she possessed no magick at all.

Despite their sadness, Elenya’s parents encouraged her to use and develop her talent, as it was considered unwise to be ungrateful of a god’s gift. Though some of the children in her family did not understand, the girl was soon accepted by her family again. Soon, no one saw her as “the girl with the curse”; just Elenya, an acolyte of Galet.

When she reached the age of 21, Elenya tired of her family’s lax routines and lifestyle. Though regular groups were sent out to spread the wisdom of Galet, the parties never traveled far. This bored Elenya, as she desired to see more of Escantha and its many wonders. Her family encouraged her to be a god’s messenger, travelling outside their usual boundary for missionaries. Accepting the challenge, Elenya left her father, mother, sisters, and family, setting off across the desert alone to spread the truth—and to find an answer to the source of her unlikely ability.

Shortly after leaving, Elenya met Torin, a young man who had fallen on difficult times. After curing him of poisoning, the two parted ways. Elenya traveled to Abdizan where she was attempted to spread the word of Galet, without success. On the eve of her departure, Galet visited her in a dream and advised her to remove him from her service, as Ignus was her true god. Scorned, the girl refused and set out on a mission to destroy all the gods for their “wrongs against mankind”. She sought out Torin for teaching in the ways of combat and is currently accompanying him across Escantha.


Personality:
Elenya is usually quite patient, allowing things to come to her and only participating actively when a need arises. However, when she undertakes a task, she follows it through until the bitter end, not giving up unless absolutely necessary.

Though she is usually slow in taking action, Elenya sees her family as much worse. She left their care out of boredom, frustration towards her family's lack of intrigue, and her own curiosity. Though a part of her once wanted to carry on her mother's legacy as an acolyte, that time has passed. Mostly, she seeks to explore Escantha, taking a lifetime to appropriately experience the wonder of every place before moving on to the next.

There are few things that rile her to anger, but one of them is blatant arrogance. She despises cockiness, though she admittedly can be herself on occasion. When individuals speak rashly and without thinking, Elenya is prompted to reprimand them, even if one's words aren’t at her expense. She can possess a superiority complex at times, but this is merely her internal desire to "mother" and defend.

Elenya can be very stubborn about her beliefs and virtues. It can be difficult to reason with her, but she is not above reprieve. If she's proven wrong by her own values or by the logic of another, she becomes embarrassed and reserved, retreating into the privacy of her thoughts rather than continuing the argument. In essence, Elenya is quick to scold, but easily put in her place.

Though Elenya is now on a mission to see Galet dethroned, she still practices the morals she was raised with, despite the fact that they are largely based on religious values. Over time however, she has acquired a more cynical air. However, this does not rescind the fact that she was raised in a sheltered community. Elenya has a tendency to be incredibly naive at times, misunderstanding jokes, compliments, and sometimes even insults. This makes her an easy target for those with quick tongues, as she is often tricked into scams and fraud.

But over all else, Elenya is kind. She seeks out those in need, often to a fault. Though many view this as a weakness, it is one of her greatest strengths, as she overlooks flaws and tends to see the goodness in others. Elenya may lash out at those who rankle her, but once she cools down she’s quick to forgive and move on. She is capable of holding a grudge nevertheless; when she does, its embers smolder long enough to span a decade.

- Likes to collect pretty stones; she claims they're for religious purposes, but they really just interest her
- Though she was born with 'Electricity' as her magick type, she still worships Galet, the god of Stone
